Sodexo facilities division celebrates 230,000 labor hours without an incident

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The facilities division of Sodexo at Mississippi University for Women recently celebrated 230,000 labor hours without an incident.

As a token of the company’s appreciation, the 55 employees were treated to a steak dinner and many door prizes including a $1,000 Walmart gift card.

Sam Wise, Sodexo director of facilities and area general manager said, “We’re here to help the university—maintain it and keep it clean. Safety is a very important component in all that we do.”

MUW President Claudia A. Limbert was also on hand to congratulate the group.

“This is a wonderful achievement. I don’t know of any other place that has done something like this. This is absolutely remarkable. Well done.” she said.

Henry Lacher, Sodexo district manager, described the team as the best in the system when it came to safety.

“It’s because of you (Sam) and your team—the focus on little things that makes you great.”
