Mayfield to speak at international conference
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Dr. William Mayfield, dean of the School of Professional Studies at Mississippi University for Women, has been asked to speak at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce conference on Sept. 16 -17.
The theme of the conference is “The Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) Evolution.” Guest speakers will address leveraging the impact of the MSME on the national economy through comprehensive and creative strategic planning.
Mayfield’s speech is titled “Women Entrepreneurs: Unlocking National Growth Potential” and presents commentary on Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Women Project. The project involves private industries that have executed public policy to educate and mentor women entrepreneurs in developing nations.
“This conference provides the School of Professional Studies with an opportunity for The W to be seen as a resource for educating women and creating entrepreneurs by the world and in particular the Caribbean nations that attend,” Mayfield said.
The conference is aimed at innovators, business owners, managers, educators and policy makers in the Caribbean Basin as an effort to increase national gross domestic product for the island nations.
