MUW summer enrollment up

COLUMBUS, Miss. - Summer enrollment at Mississippi University for Women is up by 13.76 percent.

As of June 12, a total of 1,116 students were enrolled--up 135 students from the same time last year.

“We are excited about this enrollment news,” said MUW President
Claudia Limbert. “MUW is committed to delivering a highly personalized learning environment, made possible through the dedication of our faculty.”

Dr. Bucky Wesley, vice president for student services, added that the
success is a result of a wide range of course delivery choices and
flexible scheduling as well as faculty efforts.

“In addition to the traditional courses offered during the summer,
the university has provided greater access to programs through on-line courses, certificate programs, special academic support programs, life long learning options and a new general studies major,” he said.

“The hard work and innovation of faculty has enabled the university
to extend quality academic programming to a broader range of those
pursuing higher education within the state and region.”

U.S.News & World Report has consistently ranked MUW among the top Southern public master’s universities. MUW also has been prominently ranked in other leading publications such as Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and Consumer’s Digest magazines.

The second term of summer school begins June 29. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 1-877-462-8439, ext. 7106, or visit www.muw.edu.
