Columbus, Miss. - The Wicker Center at MUW and the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library will host a series of parent workshops at the Columbus, Crawford and Artesia libraries.

Dr. Suzanne Bean, director of the Wicker Center and professor of education at MUW said, "We are happy that the Center for Creative Learning can partner with another community agency, the Columbus-Lowndes Library, to offer this exciting workshop for area parents.”

The first workshop will be held on June 18 starting at 6 p.m. at the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library.  The second workshop will be held July 16 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Crawford Public Library and the third workshop is scheduled for Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Artesia Public Library. The one-hour workshops are available for the parents of pre-K through eighth grade children and will include free dinner and childcare.

“This is an innovative project that we hope all parents of pre-K through eighth grade students will attend," she added.
