CHAMPS Project to host conference

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women CHAMPS (Creating High Achievement in Mathematics and Problem Solving) project will host its third CHAMPS Super Saturday Workshop Feb. 7, in the Plymouth Bluff Auditorium.

The workshop will feature Claudia Carter and Debbie Fancher demonstrating interactive mathematics education for the classroom.

Each participating teacher will receive approximately $75 worth of classroom materials including Dinah Zike's, “Big Book of Foldables for Mathematics.”

The workshop is free, minus a $20 reservation fee that covers the costs of 0.5 CEU's awarded at the end of the workshop. There are 10 spaces available.

The CHAMPS Project works to improve teacher quality in 17 high needs districts located in Northeast Mississippi by providing a comprehensive program of professional development.
