MUW offers Project Citizen workshop

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women Roger F. Wicker Center for Creative Learning in conjunction with the Center for Civic Education will host a Project Citizen workshop on Saturday, Dec. 6.  

The workshop will offer local teachers, youth group and civic leaders an opportunity to take part in a professional development training featuring We the People: Project Citizen, a civic education program. The program focuses on teaching upper elementary, middle school and high school students problem solving, public policy and government decision making.

Registration is free and 0.5 CEU hours are available for a $20 processing fee. The deadline for registration is Dec. 1.  Participants will receive a free copy of the Project Citizen textbook.
