Stark Center to host Wellness Happy Hour

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women Campus Recreation department will host a Wellness Happy Hour at the Stark Recreation Center on Friday, Nov. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event is open to the community and guests are invited to use and tour the facilities for free. A 10 percent discount will be offered to all new memberships acquired during the Happy Hour.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to visit the Stark Recreation Center and to find out what we have to offer,” said Betsy Spencer, business and wellness coordinator for Campus Recreation.

Campus Recreation will also introduce a new membership during the preview. The MUW Partner membership is open to all full time employees of businesses and government in Columbus and Lowndes County.

The Stark Recreation Center opened in the spring of 2007 and is home to the Office of Campus Recreation and the Department of Health and Kinesiology at MUW. This dynamic facility features space for recreation and fitness pursuits in addition to classrooms, lounge space and meeting rooms.
