MUW Music and Theatre Presents Holiday Feast

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women Department of Music and Theatre will present its second annual Madrigal Feast on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Bluecutt Road.  

The event will feature a four-course meal with music and skit in the fellowship hall followed by a holiday concert in the church.  

The Madrigal Feast will feature Renaissance costumes as well as the traditional wassail toast and Boar's Head Carol along with a skit featuring the jester, the king, and his royal courtiers.  The dinner will be catered by Celestial Creations and the menu will include Classic Italian Salad, Wassail, French Onion Soup with bread and mozzarella, Smoked and Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Vegetables and Wild Rice Pilaf and Dark Chocolate Torte for dessert.

Tickets for the event are $30 and must be purchased in advance by contacting Dr. Debra Atkinson at 662. 329.7430. Seating is limited for the dinner and the deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, Nov. 10th.
