Crawford to speak Sunday at MUW's Plymouth Bluff
Center
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Tombigbee Chapter of the
Mississippi Archeological Association and
Mississippi University for Women’s Plymouth Bluff
Center will sponsor “The Archaeological Conservancy:
Preserving Sites in Mississippi” at the Plymouth
Bluff Center this Sunday at 2 p.m. The program is
free and open to the public.
The presentation will feature Jessica Crawford,
southeast regional director of the Archaeological
Conservancy. Crawford oversees management of
Conservancy properties in eight states and the
acquisition of new sites. The program will begin at
2 p.m. Sunday at the Plymouth Bluff Center, and is
free and open to the public.
She has received a Resolution of Commendation from
the Mississippi Department of Archives & History for
her assistance on numerous archaeological
excavations in Mississippi and has served as state
president of the Mississippi Archaeological
Association.
