MUW senior art exhibit opens
COLUMBUS, Miss. - The artwork of seven Mississippi
University for Women students will be showcased at
the Fine Arts Gallery in Shattuck Hall through
Tuesday, April 22.
The senior art show features the work of students
who will graduate this spring. A reception will be
held on Saturday, April 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The graduating seniors include:
Beth Boggs, a 2004 graduate of Alcorn Central High
School in Corinth. She is majoring in art education
and plans to teach elementary school art.
Dania Clark is a 2001 graduate of West Lauderdale
High School in Collinsville. She is majoring in
studio art and plans to attend graduate school.
Amanda Lee is a 2002 graduate of Southaven High
School. Lee is majoring in graphic design and plans
to pursue a career in graphic design.
Holly Rutledge is a 2004 graduate of Pontotoc County
High School. She is majoring in art education and
plans to teach high school.
Ashley Saul is a 2004 graduate of Brandon High
School. Saul is also majoring in art education and
plans to teach high school.
Ryann Thames is a 2004 graduate from Ocean Springs
high school. She is majoring in art education and
plans to teach middle school and high school.
LaTashia Tyler is a 2003 graduate of Pine Grove High
School in Ripley. She is majoring in art education
and plans to teach high school.
Each graduating senior will receive a bachelor of
fine arts in their concentration area. This degree
requires the seniors to exhibit their artwork their
last semester at MUW.
Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday
