MUW College Research Day set for April 1
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women’s
College of
Nursing and Speech-Language Pathology will host its
first College Research Day and Awards Ceremony on
Tuesday in Parkinson Hall, Nissan Auditorium.
The program will begin at 1 p.m. where PowerPoint
presentations will be
given by graduating baccalaureate nursing students.
At 2:30 p.m., awards
will be presented to the students. Afterwards
refreshments will be offered in Martin Hall, which
will be followed by poster presentations and
previews of research work done by master nursing
students and speech-language pathology students.
Instead of having separate awards ceremony for each
program of nursing
and only a Baccalaureate Program Research Day like
in the past, this year’s award ceremony and research
presentations will combine both BSN
and MSN groups into a single day.
The awards ceremony is open for anyone on campus who
would like to
attend.
“We believe that this event will be a great
opportunity for current students or prospective
students who are interested in undergraduate or
graduate research,” said Dr. Sandra Jordan, MUW
provost and vice president for academic affairs.
