Van Bankston brings work to MUW Art Gallery
  
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi artist Van Bankston will have his work displayed in the Mississippi University for Women Art Gallery starting today and running until Friday, March 9.
   
Bankston has said that his work is a “personal statement that I hope might have an uplifting, healing influence on others.”
   
The exhibit, “Van Bankston: Paintings and Collages,” will kick off with a reception tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the MUW Art Gallery located in Shattuck Hall. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
