Foster receives $1,000 grant to attend CUPA-HR conference

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Sharon Foster, Mississippi University for Women human resources specialist, was chosen from the southern region to receive a $1,000 grant to attend the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) regional conference in New Orleans in March.

The grant will cover Foster’s registration cost and other expenses.

A letter to Foster from Andy Brantley, CUPA-HR chief executive officer, noted an incredible response to the conference grant applications this year. “We are most pleased to provide you with the opportunity to participate in one of the Associations’ premier professional development programs.”

Foster, who has been with MUW more than two years, thanked Human Resources Director Melanie Freeman, who encouraged her to apply for the grant.
