MUW alumnus to discuss `Archaeology and History in Federal
Government’
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women alumnus
Mike Renacker, archaeologist with the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, will visit with students on Wednesday, April 5.
Renacker, who also heads the Corps Delta archaeology
district, will lecture on “Archaeology and History in the
Federal Government.”
He graduated from MUW in 1995 with a degree in history.
“This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about
careers outside the classroom in history and archaeology,”
said Dr. Michael Burger, professor of history ad chair of
the Department of History, Political Science, Geography, and
Paralegal Studies.
Renacker’s presentation will be at noon in Painter Hall Room
209.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
