MUW alumnus to discuss `Archaeology and History in Federal Government’

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women alumnus Mike Renacker, archaeologist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will visit with students on Wednesday, April 5.

Renacker, who also heads the Corps Delta archaeology district, will lecture on “Archaeology and History in the Federal Government.”

He graduated from MUW in 1995 with a degree in history.

“This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about careers outside the classroom in history and archaeology,” said Dr. Michael Burger, professor of history ad chair of the Department of History, Political Science, Geography, and Paralegal Studies.

Renacker’s presentation will be at noon in Painter Hall Room 209.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
