MUW’s Brian Anderson Receives Award
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Dr. Brian Anderson, associate
professor of political science at MUW, has received the
Humanities Teacher of the Year Award by the Mississippi
Humanities Council.
Anderson will be recognized for this award in spring
2006 at the Mississippi Humanities Council’s annual
banquet in Jackson. The award carries a $500 prize and
an obligation to give a public talk in his field of
interest.
He has decided that in this talk he will demonstrate how
four political parties can help clarify the roles of the
two major political parties in America. Anderson will
discuss how this can be attained and how it will benefit
American politics.
Dr. Anderson will also be giving a public lecture on
Nov. 7 at 6:00 pm in Painter Hall 113 on the MUW campus.
The lecture is titled, “Liberating Party Factions in
American Politics.” It is free to the general public and
a reception will follow.
