Howell to write items for NCLEX-RN Examination
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Sarah Howell, assistant professor of
nursing, was chosen by the National Council of State
Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) as a member of a panel of
expert nurses who will write items for the NCLEX-RN
Examination. The session will start Oct. 5 and conclude
on Oct. 8.
The item writing session will take place at Pearson
Professional Testing, the NCSBN contractual test service
located in Chicago.
Involvement in the NCSBN Item Development Program is a
source of pride for nurses and is indicative of their
commitment to the profession.
Howell, who has taught at MUW since 1978, earned both
her associate of science in nursing and bachelor of
science in nursing from MUW. She received her master of
science in nursing from the University of Mississippi.
Currently she resides in Amory.
