Davidson and Cagle present at American Academy of Nurse
Practitioners conference
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Women
professors Dr. Janice Unruh Davidson and Dr. Rebecca
Cagle delivered a podium presentation “When the Nurse
Practitioner Becomes Agent 007: Recognizing Bioterrorism
Agents as Biological Weapons” at the 20th annual
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) 2005
National Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., this
summer.
The conference was attended by nearly 3,000 nurse
practitioners from around the world.
Dr. Davidson serves as department chair of graduate
nursing and is nationally board certified as a family
nurse practitioner and in nursing administration,
advanced and nursing informatics.
Dr. Cagle serves as the advanced practice coordinator
for graduate nursing and is nationally board certified
as a family nurse practitioner and as a psychiatric
mental health nurse practitioner.
The AANP celebrated 40 years of nurse practitioner
history and 20 years of the academy’s history at the
national conference.
