New staff members join MUW’s Division of Student
Services
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Four staff members have joined
Mississippi University for Women’s Division of Student
Services.
The new director of admissions is Stephanie Brady.
Previously employed at the University of Southern
Mississippi, Brady served as assistant manager of
admissions and functional lead for
admissions/orientation software support.
Towanda Williams has joined as assistant director of
student life for career services. Williams is a
returning alumna who previously attended the University
of Central Arkansas.
Deana Wilkins is the new assistant director of community
living for counseling services. She will work with
students to provide short-term individual counseling,
group counseling, consultation and referral services
when deemed appropriate or preferred by the student.
Wilkins also will work within the residence halls to
provide alcohol/drug education workshops and programs
that focus on a variety of personal topics.
Recreational sports is also benefiting from the new
hires. Amy Swingle is executive director of recreational
sports. Before joining MUW, she worked as assistant
director of club sports and special events at Sam
Houston State University. Swingle has previously worked
at the University of Texas in Austin as well as Central
Michigan University.
Dr. Bucky Wesley, vice president for student services,
said, “Each [new staff member] brings a wealth of
experience to a newly configured operation that is
designed to better serve students through more outreach
programming and easier accessibility to services.”
