Executive director/CEO of Columbus CVB to speak at MUW
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- James Tsismanakis, the new executive
director/CEO of the Columbus Convention & Visitors
Bureau, will speak at the next Town & Tower Club
luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 10.
The program will be held in Hogarth Dining Center on the
campus of Mississippi University for Women at 11:30 a.m.
Lunch will be served for $10.
Tsismanakis, a 15-year veteran in the hospitality
industry, is a graduate of Marshall University in
Huntington, W. Va., with a bachelor’s in business
administration.
He has worked in various management, marketing and
tourism positions during his career.
Tsismanakis plans to “bring new and exciting ideas to
the tourism industry here in Columbus” through “more
utilization of our special niches of historic
destinations, antebellum and Victorian home tours, great
shopping and antiquing.”
He will work closely with the Columbus Air Force Base,
Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority and
MUW.
