Henry attends summer fellowship at Indiana State University
 
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Margaret Mary Henry, Mississippi University for Women’s Harriet Stark Gibbons Distinguished Professor of Journalism, recently returned from a summer fellowship at Indiana State University in Bloomington.

She was among 13 college instructors nationwide selected to take part in the weeklong workshop, which was geared toward journalists who have recently left the newsroom for the classroom.

“The sessions offered practical tips, helpful critiques and great inspiration from master teachers,” Henry said. “I was most fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend.”

Henry, who joined MUW’s faculty in fall 2004, teaches writing, directs communication internships and serves as faculty adviser to The Spectator, the campus newspaper.
