MUW career center to host spring Career Day
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Womenís Office of Career Services will continue its efforts to assist students in the job search process by hosting spring 2005 Career Day on Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pope Banquet Rooms.
Career Day provides the chance for students in all majors to interact with employers to discuss current and upcoming career opportunities and the key skills employers are seeking in candidates. A Dining Etiquette Seminar was held to make students aware of the importance of projecting a professional image in a business/dining setting. Attendees were given free items to aid in networking opportunities. Business portfolios for interviewing were given as door prizes.
Organizations that will be in attendance include: Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, Valley Services, Inc., Avon Products, Inc., ClientLogic, Mississippi Department of Human Services, Wal-Mart, Inc., Harveys, Grill, Sweet Peppers Deli, Mississippi Department of Employment Security, Trustmark National Bank, Mississippi Methodist Senior Services, SPRINTMART, Mississippi Department of Education, Internal Revenue Service, WCBI-TV, LLC, Trinity Health Care Center, Mary Kay, Inc., Federal Bureau of Investigations, Tower Loan and U.S. Army.
