MUW recognizes Student Teachers of the Year for 2004

Stephanie Chaltry of Columbus, Sara Gann of Beaverton, Ala., and Elizabeth Woodall of Meridian were recognized as Student Teachers of the Year for 2004 during a ceremony at Mississippi University for Women.
 
An elementary education major, Chaltry was a student teacher at Franklin Academy for 14 weeks. Her cooperating teacher was Mandy Clark. She is the daughter of Tim and Bonnie Chaltry.

An elementary education major, Gann was a student teacher at Vernon Elementary for seven weeks and Sulligent Elementary for seven weeks. Her cooperating teachers were Jody McDaniel at Vernon and Amy Lacy at Sulligent. She is married to Tracy Gann. Her parents are Garry and Debra Duncan.
 
A math major, Woodall was a student teacher at Lee Middle School for seven weeks and Columbus High another seven weeks. Her cooperating teachers were Beth Rice at Lee Middle School and Amber Frasier at Columbus High. She is the daughter of Jeff and Lynne Anderson.

Student Teachers of the Year are chosen every semester and nominated by their cooperating teacher or university supervisor.
