MUW registration and Welcome Week Friday
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women's campus will be
buzzing on Friday as students return to campus for registration and move
into the residence halls.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in McDevitt Hall. Move-in will begin
at 9 a.m. with faculty, staff, current students and community members
helping new students move into the residence halls.
A 7 p.m. performance by recording artist Josh Kelley will highlight
Friday's activities. He will perform on Shattuck Lawn.
Kelley recently released his first major CD, "For The Ride Home," on
Universal Records. His hit "Amazing" peaked at 79 on the Billboard Hot
100 Chart and lasted more than 19 weeks on the chart.
Other activities planned for Welcome Week include a foam rave dance
party, Freshman Serenade, the drive-in movie “Troy,” Beta Kappa Tau
Ginkgo Golf, Karaoke, an ice cream social, Activities Fair, comedian
Rodney Johnson and An Evening of Improv.
