Porter named outstanding health and kinesiology major
 

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mandi Porter, a recent graduate of Mississippi University for Women, was selected as outstanding health and kinesiology major in the division, the state of Mississippi and 13-state Southern Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
   
Porter of Winfield, Ala., was presented a plaque at the national convention in New Orleans.
   
She has a 3.88 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and some of her honors include Torch Honor Society, Mortar Board National Honor Society, President’s and Dean’s Lists, Who’s Who Among America’s Colleges and Universities and charter member of the national professional physical education fraternity Phi Epsilon Kappa.
   
Porter also served as a leader in numerous campus organizations and volunteered in the community.
   
She is attending physical therapy school this summer in Tacoma, Wash.
