June 6-11
COLUMBUS, Miss. – High school students interested in doing fun
mathematical activities should pack their bags and head to Mississippi
University for Women for Math Camp 2004 June 6-11.
Participants will spend their days and evenings learning about graphing
calculators, using geometric software and doing fun projects with
manipulatives that enhance concept development in mathematics. The
application for this camp will be mathematical biology.
There is room for only 32 students to participate in the residential
camp.
Tuition is $375 and covers housing and all meals from dinner on Sunday
through lunch on Friday. A $100 deposit is required and will hold a
space in the camp, with applications being accepted until the camp is
full.
Camp staff will include MUW and Mississippi State University faculty
members.
