National Eating Disorders Screening Program at MUW
 

COLUMBUS, Miss. – National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is Feb. 23-27, and Mississippi University for Women will do its part to help educate individuals about healthy eating habits.

MUW and Walt Porter, The Shepard’s Touch pastoral psychotherapist, will host an education outreach program in collaboration with the National Eating Disorders Screening Program.

According to Linda Halbert, MUW director of counseling and testing services, attendees will have the opportunity to benefit from watching an educational video, take home educational materials, take a screening test and talk with a mental health professional.

Screenings will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus of MUW in Hogarth Student Center, W Room. The screenings are free and open to the public.
