Philological Association annual meeting
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women will host the
Mississippi Philological Association annual meeting Jan. 30-31.
This is a general conference geared to unite writers of both creative
and scholarly work from around Mississippi and throughout the Southeast.
Papers will be on topics pertaining to language, literature of any
period, folklore, film, pedagogy or subjects of related professional
interest. Readers must be members of MPA at the time of the conference.
Selected works will be published in the 2004 Publications of the
Mississippi Philological Association.
The featured reading Friday evening is by Beth Ann Fennelly, winner of
the Kenyon Review Prize in Poetry for “Open House.”
