Chase presents at American Music Therapy Association National Conference

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Kristen Chase, director of the music therapy program at Mississippi University for Women, recently presented at the American Music Therapy Association National Conference in Minneapolis, Minn.

She presented a five-hour continuing education class titled “Let's Start at the Very Beginning: Back to the Basics of Music Therapy Assessment.”  She was invited to present this session by the Continuing Education Committee.

Chase also presented two one-hour sessions on the Voices World Forum for Music Therapy and her new book “The Multicultural Music Therapy Handbook.” She did a book signing for both of her textbooks. The second book is titled “The Music Therapy Assessment Handbook.”

About 1,500 to 2,000 music therapists from all over the world attended the four-day event, which included sessions, classes and meetings.
