MUW’s Chef Labensky selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in the
World COLUMBUS, Miss. – Chef Sarah R. Labensky, Mississippi University for Women Culinary Arts Institute director, has been selected for inclusion in “Marquis Who’s Who in the World,” to be published in December 2003. Who’s Who in the World focuses on the lives and careers of a select group of men and women from many different fields to form a magnificent biographical collection. Chef Labensky was first included in Who’s Who in the World in 2001 and has been included in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women since 2000. Founding director of MUW’s Culinary Arts Institute, she teaches
management courses, cooking and administers the university’s four-year
baccalaureate degree program. Prior to joining the MUW faculty, she was
Before teaching, she worked as a pastry cook and caterer. She is co-author of the best-selling culinary textbook, “On Cooking: A
Textbook of Culinary Fundamentals,” which was nominated for an
International Association of Culinary Professsional/Julia Child Cookbook
Labensky is active in many professional organizations and is currently
vice president/president-elect of the IACP. She is a member of The
American Culinary Federation and Les Dames d’ Escoffier.
