MUW professor appointed conductor of MSU Symphony Orchestra

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Women Assistant Professor Dr. Richard Bailey has been appointed conductor of the Starkville – MSU Symphony Orchestra.

Dr. Bailey is a composer who has had a number of his works, including a recent song cycle based on poetry of Robert Creely, performed at regional conferences and festivals.

As a trumpet player working in a broad range of genres, Dr. Bailey has performed extensively throughout the Golden Triangle. He has been a professor at MUW four years.
