MUW named a best value by U.S. News
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Women has received
another reinforcement that it is providing a quality education at an
affordable cost.
For the seventh time in 10 years, MUW was recently ranked a best value
by U.S. News & World Report's 2004 guide, "America's Best Colleges."
MUW was the top ranked best value in the state of Mississippi and the
11th best value in the South.
This good news follows MUW's current status as 67 of the 100 best
public colleges in America, according to Kiplinger's Personal Finance
magazine.
To determine which colleges and universities offer the best value, the
U.S. News formula focuses on the school's academic quality and the cost of
attending the school.
MUW is the least expensive four-year option in the state, providing a
private school education at a public school price.
"We are very pleased to learn of the continuation of this honor since
it stresses the quality of our programs as well as the cost attendance for
our students," said MUW President Claudia Limbert. |
