Mystery and suspense served up at MUW dinner theater

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Who shot the magnate? Guests will have an opportunity to solve this mystery at a dinner presented by Mississippi University for Women's Faculty Library Advisory Committee on Saturday, April 26.

An investigation into "The Case of the Murdered Munitions Magnate," a Sherlock Holmes mystery, is one of many exciting events scheduled for The W's Homecoming weekend.

The three-part skit will feature MUW faculty and students.

"The night will include murder, mystery and fun," said Dr. Janie Gregg, library committee member, noting that the event will benefit the library. "It will be an interactive dinner theater where the audience participates in the play."

"The table that solves the mystery will get a prize," she added.

Tickets, which include dinner and one chip, are $25. Additional chips to the play game will be available for $1 each.

The performance will be held in the Hogarth Dining Center Banquet Room. A social hour will be held 30 minutes before dinner, which begins at 7:30 p.m.

For more information about this event or ticket information, please contact Gregg at 329-7267 or Pat Matthes, library services director, at 329-7333.
