Faculty members participate in annual conference

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Faculty members of the Division of Business and Communication at Mississippi University for Women participated in the Federation of Business Discipline annual conference recently held in Houston.

Dr. Maggie McClintock served as this year's program chairman for the Southwest Administrative Systems discipline at the conference as well as presented a paper with other colleagues titled "The Impact of the 1996 Telecommunications Act on the Digital Divide."

McClintock also was elected as the 2003-2004 president of the Southwest Administrative Systems discipline.

In addition, she proposed a name change of the organization, which was passed by the FBD.

Denise Sibley, instructor of business and communication, attended the conference and served as a reviewer and as a session leader for the discipline.

Dr. Janie Gregg, assistant professor of management, also attended the conference where she participated in the strategic management and accounting sessions.
