MUW employees, students receive Town & Tower discount with local merchants COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Women employees and students can save a little money this year on their holiday gifts when they shop with area merchants participating in the Town & Tower discount program. To receive the 10 percent discount, MUW faculty, staff and students must present a valid MUW I.D. This discount extends beyond the holiday season, and some exclusions may apply. "We are very grateful to these businesses for offering discounts to the W family," Perry Sansing, MUW assistant to the president and vice president of Town & Tower, said. "This is also an opportunity for us to support our community by shopping locally." Participating businesses, which will have a Town & Tower logo on their store front, are Classic Car Care, Collections, DC Music, Gifts, Etc., Fashion Barn, Fish Alley Art, Hollyhocks, Jubilations, Inc., Marilyn's Cottage, McClure Furniture Store, Monograms Plus, N'Bloom, Party and Paper, Purple Elephant, Rae's Jewelry, Rothe Computers, Ruth's, Spiller's Furniture, The Carousel, The Frog 'n The Peach, The Suitcase and Wright's Jewelers. Town & Tower Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the community and the university. Any interested citizen is invited to join Town & Tower. Dues are $20 ($10 for students) per calendar year and may be submitted to Frances Jutman, treasurer, P.O. Box 631, Columbus, MS 39703. |
