Performance at MUW a journey into TV land

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Audiences will go back in time during performances of Jet Set '67 at Mississippi University for Women on Thursday, Oct. 31; Friday, Nov 1; and Saturday, Nov. 2.

Described as a "pop musical journey into TV land," Jet Set '67 is a tribute to the style and spirit of television and music from 1967.

Songs include "Your Just Too Good to be True," "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," "It's A Most Unusual Day," "You Are My Sunshine" and many more.

The musical will feature guest artists Steve L. Webber from New York City and Persis Ann Foreter from Dallas. Other cast members include Clay Hill, Todd Mordecai and Kelly Melville.

MUW professor Peppy Biddy is the director, and the scenic design is by D. Carter. Costumes are by Cathlene Perry.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. in Cromwell Theatre. Tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 21 and are $5 for faculty, staff and students if purchased in advance and $7 for the general public if purchased in advance. Tickets are $10 at the door.
