GRAN TORINO in concert at MUW
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- "Rock `n' Soul" band GRAN TORINO will be
in concert at Mississippi University for Women Tuesday, Sept. 17.
In 1995, the nine-member band formed in Knoxville, Tenn., and since
that time GRAN TORINO has attracted fans across the country.
The group performs at about 200 shows annually and was named
Knoxville's "Best Rock Band" in the 2002 Readers' Poll of
Knoxville's entertainment weekly. The hit single "Moments With
You," which was featured on GRAN TORINO'S last album, gained
nationwide attention when it was prominently featured on MTV's "The
Real World" in the fall of 2000.
GRAN TORINO's third studio recording, "The One and Only,"
will be released Tuesday, Sept. 24.
The concert, which will be held on Shattuck Lawn from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.,
