WHAT IS THE ONLINE WORK
REQUEST SYSTEM?
This is a Web Interfaced of our Work Order System.
It is a communication tool by which faculty and
staff can inform the Facilities Management of
problems with campus facilities. This system allow
faculty and staff to submit work requests directly
into our work order system, check their work
requests status on-line, and receive E-mail
notification of their work requests progress.
It is not intended for emergency requests. Emergency
requests should be telephoned to Facilities
Management during normal working hours (7 a.m. to 5
p.m.) at x7396. Emergency requests during nights and
weekends should be called in to MUW Police at
241-7777.
HOW DOES THE WORK ORDER SYSTEM WORK?
Someone (Requester) must first identify the problem
on campus which includes important information such
as the type of problem, the location of the problem,
the date the problem was found, etc. A work request
will be initiated and sent to Facilities Management
office where it is entered into our Work Order
System. A work order is then printed and given to
the appropriate facilities department. An emergency
work order will take precedent over all other
requests. Once a work order is completed, it is
returned to our office and closed out in our Work
Order System. An e-mail notification of the
completion will send to the Requester .
WHAT IF I AM AN ON-CAMPUS RESIDENT?
If you are a student living in a residence hall on
campus, you have a slightly different procedure to
follow. If you have a problem that needs to be
addressed through a work order, complete a work
order request form and give it to the Assistant
Community Advisor on your floor. The ACA will then
turn it into the Community Advisor who in turn will
send it to our office.
HOW DO I INITIATE A WORK ORDER REQUEST?
There are several ways to initiate a work order
request.
