NON-MAINTENANCE REQUESTS (ESTIMATES)
WHAT
IS A NON-MAINTENANCE REQUEST?
The primary objective of the Facilities Management Department is to
maintain existing facilities and utilities. However, we also
provide an estimating service for projects not related to
maintenance needs. This is called a non-maintenance request.
Any request that does not pertain to the upkeep and
maintenance of the University's buildings and grounds is
considered a non-maintenance request.
WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES REGARDING A NON-MAINTENANCE
REQUEST?
A non-maintenance request must be funded through the
department submitting the request as outlined in Policy
Statement 7003, Issue #1. If the estimate is accepted, the
department submitting the request must send an
Interdepartmental Purchase Order for the amount of the
estimate. We cannot begin work until we receive this
Interdepartmental P.O.
Please keep in mind that the price we submit is only an
estimate and should be reflected as so on the
Interdepartmental P.O. The department will be billed for the
actual labor and materials required to complete the project.
HOW DO I REQUEST A NON-MAINTENANCE ESTIMATE?
If you have a non-maintenance project that you would like us
to estimate, please call the Facilities Management Office at
x7396 and we will be happy to assist you with your needs.
