PURPOSE:  To establish university policy regarding faculty, staff, and student identification cards.

OPERATING DETAILS: 

Faculty/Staff /Students

1. The Office of ID Card Services will issue a photograph identification card to all faculty, staff, outsourced enterprise employees and students. The identification card serves to identify employees and students of the University and Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science for admittance into buildings and the campus as well as may be used for attaching monies for use at campus venues such as Dining Services, the Book Store, the Campus Recreation Center, and the Library. The card may also be used to verify identification for check distribution, admission to or the purchase of tickets to certain University functions, and for campus Security purposes.

2. Lost or stolen identification cards must be reported to the Office of ID Card Services or the Campus Police Department, and arrangements will be made for a replacement card at a fee of not less than $25.00. Identification cards remain the property of the University.  Upon termination or withdrawal from the University or MS-MS, identification cards must be surrendered.

3. All student ID Cards must be validated each semester in the ID Card Services office.

4. Students, faculty, staff and outsourced staff must possess at all times, a valid identification card and must surrender the ID card to any university official upon proper request.  

Use of another person’s I.D. constitutes fraud and may result in disciplinary action.
