SUBJECT: Justification for Cancellation of PS1103 and PS1102
 

1. PS1102 Extended Studies Staffing

This policy statement is obsolete and contrary to common practice.  All the particulars of hiring professors to teach evening, weekend, CAFB or workshop classes is already handled by personnel, academic affairs, and continuing education by their own procedures and does not need to be further clarified by this policy.
 

2. PS1103 Staffing, Reporting and Financing Non-credit activities

This policy statement is obsolete, and contrary to common practice.  Staffing and financing of non-credit activities are conducted by other divisions and offices on campus, as well as continuing education, and the procedures followed for these activities are controlled by each office or division.  Reporting of non-credit activities is done through continuing education.  There is already a procedure in place for requesting the data from across campus and compiling a final report.
