OPERATING DETAILS:

Travel is often a necessary component of university operations.  Whether it be for meetings, professional development, or recruiting, the University, the IHL Board, and the State have policies and procedures that travelers must follow.  To help travelers better understand these policies and procedures, they are located at http://www.muw.edu/comptroller/Travel.html.  The policies and procedures are updated as soon as the Comptroller’s Office is notified of any changes.

These procedures contain pertinent information as well as forms to be used, and they should be read and must be followed by anyone traveling at the University’s expense.  Travel outside the continental United States in the course and scope of employment requires advance approval by the Board of Trustees of Institutions of Higher Learning and shall comply with IHL policies and state law.  Forms for applying for the needed approvals are available at the website mentioned above.
