TITLE: Academic Advising Corps

PURPOSE:  To establish an Academic Advising Corps
REVIEWER AND  Academic Council
REVIEW DATE:  Fall 2011 and every five years thereafter
OPERATING DETAILS: 

1.  The Academic Advising Corps consists of Mississippi University for Women faculty members.  The number of faculty members serving on the Advising Corps is determined by enrollment, and should include representation from all Colleges and degree granting Institutes.  The members are selected annually by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs in consultation with Deans and Institute Directors.  Final approval rests with the Chief Academic Officer.  Appointment to the Advising Corps is documented in the faculty contract along with a stipend.

 

2.   Duties of Academic Advising Corps members are assigned by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and documented in the Advisor Manual.
