PARALEGAL LIBRARY
The Paralegal Studies program at MUW
offers an extensive legal library, which includes a large
number of legal resource materials. The library maintains
the Mississippi Code and legal resources, such as Corpus
Juris Secundum and American Jurisprudence, in addition to
the Mississippi Digest. It is also the repository of a large
number of federal materials, such as the Federal Reporter,
the Federal Supplement, Supreme Court Reports and the Code
of Federal Regulations, and a wealth of treatises, journals,
and periodicals on every legal topic imaginable. Seating is
provided for small classes, as well as individual studies
and two state-of-the-art computer terminals, with printer,
which gives students access to web-based research tools.
The library has recently received
donations of books and other materials from the United
States District Court for the Northern District of
Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The collection is housed in Fant
Library, MUW's main campus library, which offers students
additional research opportunities. The program also
maintains a small satellite collection for instructional
purposes in Painter 212.
