The following courses are required for the ASN Program for those wishing to enter the LPN/RN Advanced Placement Option. Grades for the prerequisites and an ACT score must be submitted as part of the application process (see admission procedure). Other non-nursing courses (those required in the sophomore year) may also be taken prior to application or may be taken with the nursing courses. Each semester's designated courses must be completed prior to registering for the next semester's nursing course. No courses may be delayed to a later semester. Prospective students who
plan to take non-nursing courses at other institutions should contact the ASN
Program chair regarding transfer of credit prior to taking the courses. Nursing Transition, Nursing Transition Clinical and Pharmacology are offered second summer term for LPN/RN students only. With successful completion of these courses the student advances to the sophomore year. In order to graduate you must have earned 31 hours of MUW credit. A student may enter the university as a pre-nursing student during any semester. |
