25th celebration done—worked well to have dinner and induction at the same time Had meeting in December at NMMC in conjunction with the Med Surg conference --- Jolyn has done great job with keeping members updated on news ie Thanksgiving baskets etc. Jolyn also got public affairs to attend the induction ceremony and great pictures taken. Continue goal and work with

We offered opportunity for additional community members this year. Since net number of members is always evolving – difficult to determine – however, more than 25 members inducted. Did not have enough material for slide show but historical process emphasized with Mary Pat Curtis as speaker (she read from minutes and notes regarding first years of chapter) Did continue hard copy of newsletter. Minutes were placed on line. Note – we now receive monthly update as to the members who received etc but still difficult to get a true picture of the membership. Continue overall goal and work
to continue to prepare historical record of chapter , Consider a
possible slide show of chapter events for the induction ceremony.
accomplishments – Suggestions for
increasing attendance at meetings—coordinate meetings with day of
plenary faculty and serve refreshments at meetings. .

3. Maintain financial viability of the chapter. |

Treasurer’s report Approximately $5000.00 in the bank We still have to pay for skills kits supplies but will receive money from the students for skills kits. Continue this goal – had 3 bake sales with profits $460 received. _Approximately 20 ornaments left. Kudos to Maria for the work with the bake sales and with the Skills kits. Delete fashion show and craft fair fundraising projects at this time. Mary Jo is chairman of cookbook and that is in process at present. Approved a tasting tea campuswide to promote sale of cookbook. Continue cookbook, skills kits
and bake sales. - ? |

4. Reinstate activities in scholarship and research |
Develop a plan that reinstates scholarship and research activities and submit to the membership. Scholarships: $500 for MSN, $500 for BSN (may be given as one or two scholarships—one for generic and one for advanced placement of $250 each . Awards committee will receive applications and decide how to distribute funds) Reinstate Community Nurse Leader Award and Nurse Educator of the Year Award in Spring 2007 |
Continued with certificates to all senior generic students and to master’s students acknowledging their contribution to research. Awards established honoring Dr. Adams, Dr. Curtis, and Mrs. Kirkpatrick --- first recipients given this year. Also gave 2 Nurse Educator of the Year awards to retiring faculty this year. Continue all of the above listed
and work on providing certificates to both RN/BSN graduating classes in
this year and work on Community Leader Award this year. Reinstate Nurse Educator and
Community Leader Award, Spring 2008. Explore
the possibility of reinstating the Hall of Fame Award. |

5. Acquaint membership with STTI Biennial Theme to prepare for 2006-2007 year |
Include Biennial theme of collaboration in publications and in meetings Resp.—Board, Program committee |
Theme was included in correspondence from the chapter and recognized at the awards ceremony. Continue as needed |
