Eight MUW psychology and family studies students, along with one student from the University of Alabama, one from Mississippi State University, and one from North East Mississippi Community College, participated in the second annual Social Sciences Undergraduate Research Colloquium. The W's department hosted the annual conference every year to provide undergraduates in social sciences with an opportunity to present proposed and completed research projects to peers and faculty and to receive feedback on their research. The top three proposed and completed projects receive recognition for their work. Top presenters this year included Tyler Collums, W psychology; Chris Gruber, W family studies and psychology double major; and Laura Gist, W pyschology major. Co-presenters were Keaira Williams, W family studies major; Ellen Chew, W family studies major; Rachel Booth Mississippi State University psychology major; and Helmi Henkin, University of Alabama psychology major. This year, the SSURC was held on April 22.
