Welcome from the Director of Library Services

Welcome to John Clayton Fant Memorial Library on the campus of Mississippi University for Women. Library Services has a mission to serve students, faculty, staff, and the local community by supporting MUW academic programs with print, non-print and electronic resources. The collection includes over 200,000 books, 40,000 bound journals, 1.200 subscriptions, and access to twenty full-text and citation subject databases. The Galaxy MUW Online Library Catalogue provides access to books and journals housed in Fant Library as well as those owned by the other libraries comprising the Golden Triangle Regional Library Consortium; which was begun in 1992 to share resources and promote cooperation among libraries in this region. The online catalog and all but two of the databases are available remotely seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day through the Fant Library Web Page at www.muw.edu/library.  We invite you to use our Web site as your gateway to intellectual exploration and discovery. We provide a FAQ, a link to electronic resources, web mail, encyclopedias, the Internet, Interlibrary Loan Services, the Spectator Index (History), Genealogy, and New Book Titles.
