Chef Erich Ogle joined the Culinary Arts Faculty in August of 2005. Chef Erich started his culinary
career 10 plus years ago as a dishwasher while he was perusing a BFA at MUW. After graduation he worked
as a graphic designer for a short time however, the kitchen seamed to be a better fit and he has been
working in the industry ever since. Chef Erich was one of the first seven graduates of the culinary program
here at MUW and while attending worked for Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. Chef Erich
was there for four years; eventually working his way up to Executive Sous-Chef. From Old Waverly
he moved to Destin, Florida where he worked as Sous-Chef for several local restaurants including, Flamingo
Café, Cuvee Beach, and Beach Walk Café. Upon returning to the Golden Triangle Chef Erich held Executive
Chef positions at both The Veranda, and The Hotel Chester in Starkville.
