Campus Culture

The W is a university of “we” – our students, our faculty, our staff, our alumni, our friends. We value the traditions of The Long Blue Line, and we pride ourselves on our “you’re part of our family” environment.

That family environment is part of the reason The W was named to the Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges To Work For Honor Roll eleven years in a row!. The University was recognized in the following categories: Collaborative Governance, Confidence in Senior Leadership, Job Satisfaction, Professional/Career Development Programs, Respect and Appreciation, Supervisor or Department Chair Relationship, Teaching Environment, and Tenure Clarity and Process.
