| INTERNATIONAL
STUDIES MINOR
This minor is
tailored for those students who want to learn about the
global political, economic, and cultural environment in an
interdisciplinary setting. Such training is ideal for those
who wish to move on to careers in politics, public service,
international business, law, issue advocacy, journalism, and
education.
Students choosing this minor must select courses from two lists.
1. The IS minor requires four courses in three disciplines, chosen from the
list of three-credit courses below.

Students
choosing this minor must demonstrate intermediate competency
in a modern foreign language (French and Spanish are offered
here at MUW). In addition, students are strongly encouraged
to pursue an "international experience" (e.g., study abroad)
when they choose this minor. If approved by Dr. Michael
Burger (university adviser for the minor) and the Vice
President for Academic Affairs, this experience may count
for up to 6 hours toward the minor requirements.
